In this week’s 5 minute update, we focused on several things:

1) The current status of the Israel / PLO peace process
2) The current situation with Iran

The Republicans had a landslide victory in the US Congress from the US midterm elections and this sets the stage for gridlock with President Obama where each side will most likely seek to blame each other for the problems that will come upon the country in the next two years.  Pastor Lindsey Williams has revealed the name of the global elite individual who has been giving him information over the years. His name is Kenneth Fromm who was the ex-CEO of Atlantic Richfield.

We are getting “mixed messages” regarding the status of the peace process.  One one hand, Debka reports that an agreement has been made between the PLO and Israel to resume peace talks in January 2011. On the other hand, Netanyahu has said that the US hasn’t offered Israel incentives in exchange for extending the settlement freeze for an additional 3 months. The Palestians have stated that they are going to give the USA two more weeks to work out details to restart peace talks.  The PLO has indicated that they will continue their efforts to get a UN Security Council Resolution to declare Israel building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as being illegal.  Mahmood Abbas said that the PLO will ask the US to draft a framework peace agreement should its efforts to get Israel to agree to a settlement freeze if talks fail.  The US has stated that they will discourage the Palestinians from seeking a PLO state through the UN Security Council.  Britain has given some element of recognition of a PLO state by signing with the PLO a ‘treaty between nations’.  Should peace talks fail, the Labor party in Israel (headed by Ehud Barak) has said that they will leave the Netanyahu government.

An agreement to divide Jerusalem and establish a PLO state is a tribulation event.

Regarding Iran, preparations are continuing for possible war with Iran as the US has deployed a fourth submarine in the Persian Gulf.

A US war with Iran is a tribulation event.

From a Biblical prophetic perspective, the reason why the God of Israel would allow these events to happen is because it will result in the end of the exile of the house of Jacob and the reunification of the 12 tribes of Israel (Ephraim and Judah).

We will to be “watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem” and we will not rest until the God of Israel makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62).

In this week’s 5 minute update, we focused on several things:

2) Policies that weaken the US dollar and insider selling on Wall Street
3) The current situation with Iran

The Palestinians are indicating that the US will probably wait until after the US elections to apply any significant pressure against Israel to agree to a PLO state based upon 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as it’s capital. Former President Jimmy Carter indicated that if Israel doesn’t agree to a PLO state that economic sanctions might be placed upon Israel.  The PLO are indicating that they intend to get the USA through a UN Security Council Resolution to declare Israel building in the West Bank and East Jerusalem as illegal under international law. In addition, the PLO are indicating that they also want the UN Security Council to recognize a PLO state with East Jerusalem as its capital through a UN Security Council Resolution.  The United Nations have indicated that they will recognize a PLO state by August 2011.  Mahmood Abbas is also trying to lobby the Quartet (UN, US, European Union and Russia) to recognize a PLO state through the UN. However, the European Union says that this is not the time to recognize a PLO state through the UN.  The Vatican called for the establishment of a PLO state and an end to Israel settlement building. The US is trying to get Israel to agree to a three month settlement freeze extension. An Israeli ambassador indicates that Israel may be willing to agree to a three month settlement freeze extension however Israel doesn’t have the votes in the inner cabinet to extend the settlement freeze.

The Federal Reserve is preparing to announce that it will print money to pay for US debt.  The IMF says that the dollar is overvalued.  These are signs that the US dollar is on a path toward devaluation. Meanwhile, there has been a significant increase in insider selling on Wall Street.

A collapse of the US dollar and the establishment of one world currency is a tribulation event.

Regarding Iran, Secretary of State Hilliary Clinton said that the US has no problem with Iran having the Bushehr nuclear plant.  Meanwhile, the US has deployed a second aircraft carrier in the Persian Gulf.
